The spec script for this project has been gathering a lot of buzz in Hollywood. It's also getting comparisons to films such as Silence of The Lambs, Se7en and the upcoming The Lovely Bones. Director Bryan Singer (Usual Suspects, Apt Pupil) has publicly shown interest in the film and could helm. "After his 6-year-old daughter and her friend are kidnapped, a small-town carpenter butts heads with a young, brash detective in charge of the investigation."
Mark Wahlberg took interest in the script and made sure it would become a starring vehicle for himself. RiskyBusiness is reporting that Christian Bale may star opposite Wahlberg.
