Partially disabled medical student Dr. Donald Blake discovers his heretofore unknown alter ego, the Norse warrior, Thor. The film introduces the origin of Thor and how he joins the Avengers. The film will be directed by Kenneth Branagh (Frankenstein, Hamlet). I expect character cameos from Nick Fury (Sam Jackson), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.).

Natalie Portman (Closer) as Nurse Jane Foster , Blake's love interest
Brian Blessed (Flash Gordon, Black Adder) as Odin
Jaimie Alexander (Kyle XY) as Sif ,Thor's love interest
Legendary Canadian actor Colm Feore (Changeling, Chronicles of Riddick) has also joined the cast. Similar to Brian Blessed, Feore is best known as a theater actor and performs regularly at the Stratford Festival.
